Ledbetter Case

In the article i recently wrote my paper on, it talked about the Lilly Ledbetter case. The Lilly Ledbetter case is an example of how women were discriminated with their wages. Lilly Ledbetter worked at the tire firm for 19 years. She pressed charges on the company for gender discrimination because she wasn't getting paid as much as the male workers. She pressed charges in 1998 and won her case. The case went up to the U.S. Supreme Court where in 2007 the verdict was changed. Lilly Ledbetter originally won 3 million dollars in pay damages but the verdict was overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court. This is a classic situation where women discrimination existed.
