Femal Graduates

In my social justice article there is a little part in the section where it has the income of gender graduates. It stated that female college graduates with a bachelors degree's average earning is about $48,000 a year. When the male college graduate with a bachelors degree's average earnings is $61,000 a year. It is clear that women in this data are getting paid $13,000 less a year. That right there can be listed as gender discrimination. It can also be argued that the womens choices of degree's aren't as lucrative as the degree of the average male.

Social Justice Article

The article I found on my social justice topic is called "Gender Pay Gap". I found it at the odu webpage. I went to the library and scrolled through their database and used cq researcher. When you search unfair wages in the search box you can find my article "Gender Pay Gap". The topic they discuss in this article is that if women get paid fairly in the workplace. The article gives some good visual of graphs that proves a point. This article was volume 18, issue 11 and was posted March 14, 2008 It talks about how women aren't getting paid fairly compared to men, but it is a working progress.

Social justice topic

The topic for my social justice issue is unfair paywages. There are unfair pay wages do to someone's sex or background. If some has a social disadvantage their pay wage is lower then what the average person is getting for that job title. Women sometimes get paid less then whit men; and black male get paid less then white male sometimes for the same job title. Minimum wage is also not a fair wage rate some might say as well. Getting paid fairly is a social justice issue.
